Adrienne Andrews

Adrienne Andrews

Managing director

JLL

Background: With a focus on hotel debt advisory for acquisitions, refinances and construction, Andrews has closed almost $2 billion in hotel loans in her time as an intermediary.

Source of pride: “Succeeding in hotel capital markets — a male-dominated field — while entering the industry as a single mom. I’m proud of establishing myself as a respected professional without sacrificing family commitments. My daughter, now 21 and poised to enter CRE herself, is my biggest cheerleader.”

Key to success: “My willingness to take on risk, persevere in times of challenge and remain focused on the best outcome for my clients.”

Surprising fact: “I spent the turn of the century on the back of a camel in Egypt!”

Bill Murney

Bill Murney

Executive managing director

Cushman & Wakefield

Background: Utilizing his expertise in various U.S. hotel markets, Murney helps clients properly position hospitality assets to attract and generate aggressive offers. With more than 30 years of experience in the industry, Murney has completed over $2.5 billion in hotel and resort transactions.

Favorite project: “Rick Huffman and the HCW team managed to overcome several obstacles and open the Caesar’s Republic hotel for a lower price per key than most, if not all, similar new developments. It’s the first hotel of its kind, and it has been impressive to watch a dream become a reality.”

Chuck Wells

Chuck Wells

Senior vice president

Kidder Mathews

Background: A 40-year veteran, Wells specializes in site selection and disposition within the restaurant and hospitality industry. He is recognized as an industry leader in tenant rollouts and market expansion strategies.

Source of pride: “Committing to an industry niche early in my career, staying dedicated to it and surviving the many downturns our market has experienced over the past 40 years. I’m also proud of the long-term friendships I’ve made with peers and clients. Having history and mutual trust has been everything to me and my longevity within this business.”

Key to success: “The knowledge I’ve obtained from my clients. Spending countless hours with the best of the best within the industry on market tours and participating in high level meetings discussing operational challenges, growth strategies and why one site works and the other doesn’t, taught me everything. Understanding the challenges early in the deal process and making their job easier is my goal. A client’s success is a mutual success.”

Surprising fact: “I’ve always had a sense of adventure and enjoy travelling to unique locations. I’ve scuba dived in Cozumel, Cuba, Honduras, Socorro Island and the Red Sea. I rode a camel next to the great pyramids and hot air ballooned over the Valley of the Kings. I rode a motorcycle from Anchorage to Cabo San Lucas and snowmobiled the wilderness areas of Teton National Park, Yellowstone and Bear Lake. Life is not meant to be just a spectator sport — I intend to stay active!”

Jennifer Bergamo

Jennifer Bergamo

Vice president

CBRE

Background: Drawing on more than two decades of industry experience, Bergamo facilitates institutional hotel sales throughout the Southwestern U.S. and mountain states, primarily focusing on select-service, full-service, lifestyle and boutique hotels.

Source of pride: In September 2023, Bergamo successfully sold the Canopy Scottsdale Old Town in Scottsdale, setting a new record for the market.

Favorite project: The Phoenician is Bergamo’s favorite resort in The Valley — and where she started her career. She appreciates the incredible real estate, gorgeous design, incredible materials like the mother of pearl tile in the pool, artwork, fascinating history and of course the tremendous staff that make it all come together.

Surprising fact: Bergamo was a childhood actress and model, appearing on an episode of “Days of our Lives” and was featured on Barbie, Frosted Flakes, Pop Tart commercials and various clothing catalogues.
