PWS, SommSelect give you an excuse to celebrate wine

Featuring a state-of-the-art wine storage cellar and lounge, Phoenix Wine Storage (PWS) opened in March 2014 in a classic, mid-century modern building in central Phoenix designed by renowned architect Ralph Haver. The secure, climate controlled cellar boasts more than 200 lockers in various sizes for any level of wine collection. Members of PWS are provided various services including client inventory management, delivery acceptance of wine shipments, tracking, delivery of their member’s collections to anywhere in the world, customizable racking options for both display and storage and more. For wine enthusiasts looking to store their wine in their own home, PWS provides expertise to assist in designing state-of-the-art wine storage. In addition, PWS members have access to a private wine tasting room and outdoor patio where they can host exclusive tasting events and private parties at the facility.

“Phoenix Wine Storage has had tremendous success in growing our business primarily through customer referrals,” says Raini Keyser, PWS cellar manager. “When it comes to customer service, our modus operandi is to find a way to say ‘yes’.”

SommSelect, co-founded by friends Cauble and Brandon Carneiro, launched in 2014 to give new and seasoned wine drinkers access to great wines, hand selected and curated by a master sommelier. SommSelect is a direct to consumer wine retailer, offering members a new wine daily with information on the wine, producer and region curated by Ian Cauble, star of the 2014 film “SOMM” and master sommelier, which is a major title only given to roughly 219 people in the world.

Following the release of Cauble’s documentary, PWS clients quickly became SommSelect’s No. 2 source of highest volume orders in the country and No. 1 in Arizona. Founders of SommSelect and CEO Jennifer Saunders became interested in PWS and fell in love with the concept, which resulted in the team selecting PWS to host their official launch party.

“SommSelect provides wine aficionados an experience unlike anything offered by retail stores,” said Cauble. “Each wine we offer is thoughtfully selected and brings our members a new discovery and education daily. We’re excited to be working with PWS and continue to expose our members to a state-of-the-art, secure storage facility with exceptional service.”

“We’re thrilled to host this event with SommSelect as we join together to better serve the wine community,” says Keyser.

Phoenix Wine Storage is located at 6047 N. 16th St. in Phoenix, Ariz.

z'tejas - opening a new location

Z’Tejas Opens Fifth Location in Central Phoenix

On the heels of celebrating its 20th anniversary in Arizona, Scottsdale-based Z’Tejas Southwestern Grill is announcing the opening of their fifth Valley location in central Phoenix located at 16th Street and Bethany Home Road, opening to the public April 22, 2013. This Z’Tejas location was one of the first “ground-up” construction projects in the neighborhood, with the restaurant modeled after famed architect, Ralph Haver, to blend in with the surrounding homes.

“This location is a sign of perseverance and support from the neighborhood,” says Z’Tejas CEO Steven Micheletti. “We are excited to open our doors in the heart of central Phoenix.”

The new location features five uniquely designed dining rooms each with a different feel, side panels that open to the outside, a greenhouse room with a retractable roof and “living wall” inset with live plants and greenery. The restaurant will seat roughly 290 guests and conveys a light, airy design.

The first Arizona Z’Tejas restaurant opened December 1991 in Scottsdale Fashion Square and continues to thrive in the community. The concept then continued to grow with three other locations at Shea & Tatum in Phoenix (1996) Tempe (2000) and Chandler in (2001).

Z’Tejas is at the forefront of unique Southwestern fare with seasonal menu items and specialty cocktails, including their award-winning Chambord margarita. Visit www.ztejas.com for more information and follow them on Facebook at www.facebook.com/ztejassouthwesterngrill and Twitter @ZTejas.
