Higuera Continues Commitment to Hispanic Community

Fennemore Craig, a leading Mountain West regional firm, has announced that Lori A. Higuera, a shareholder in the firm’s Phoenix office, has been appointed Deputy Regional President for the Hispanic National Bar Association and elected to the Board of Directors for the Los Abogados Hispanic Bar Association.

Higuera co-chairs the firm’s Employment and Labor Relations practice group. She represents employers in arbitration, mediation, internal and external investigations, litigation and administrative proceedings involving the EEOC, NLRB, DOL and other governmental agencies. She also regularly provides employment training to employers of all sizes and frequently speaks on a variety of work-related topics before a wide range of professional organizations. Higuera received her J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School and her B.A. from the University of Arizona.

The Hispanic National Bar Association serves as the national voice for the concerns and opinions of Hispanics in the community and in the legal profession. The Los Abogados Hispanic Bar Association provides a number of services all with a view of the business of the Hispanic legal profession within the State of Arizona.

Higuera elected to Women’s Leadership Council

Lori A. Higuera, a partner at Fennemore Craig and co-chair of the firm’s Employment and Labor Relations practice, has been appointed to the Steering Committee of the Women’s Leadership Council for the Valley of the Sun United Way.

Higuera’s practice focuses on training managers, human resource professionals, and employees in all areas of employment law, including harassment prevention, lawful and effective investigations, effective hiring, performance management, the ADA and FMLA. She frequently conducts workplace investigations and advises clients on the implementation and maintenance of proactive employment practices. She is an employment law expert for CareerBuilder’s popular “Ask the Expert” column and often speaks on a variety of work-related topics before a wide range of professional organizations.

The Women’s Leadership Council’s mission is to build a powerful network of women who support the work of the Valley of the Sun United Way by giving, advocating, volunteering, and inspiring others to join and creating lasting change in the community.
